The employees are helpful and friendly. The selection and prices are good. I would recommend this store to visitors to the area.

Terrible customer service, unfriendly and smug employees. Often out of regular or sale items, seem resentful if you ask for a rain check. I used to be a regular here...Did every bit of my grocery shopping here, mainly because of its close location. I now go three miles further just to avoid this terrible store. It is usually clean, but that's its only redeeming quality. I avoid this one at all costs, and will go to another chain or sometimes another Food City location, but only if there is a tremendous sale. I will not go back and spend approximately $500 per month here, will only stop there if absolutely necessary (and it never is). Horrible attitudes towards friendly customers is no way to run a store.
They lose a star due to number of lanes open for customers and the speed getting to checkout. I had 5 items and had to wait behind customers with well filled carts. Express lane closed, no one at customer service to check anyone out.
Food City is my closest local grocery store. I love it. They have everything I need at relatively cheap prices. There are certain things I shop at Walmart or Save-a-Lot for but the majority of my shopping is done at Food City. Most of the associates are friendly with a few exceptions but they are always willing to help. Great store, great experiences.
